The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, approved the National Pulses Mission and raised MSP for Rabi crops, marking a major farmer-centric move. The Mission aims to boost pulses output from 24.2 to 35 million tonnes by 2030–31, with ₹11,440 crore allocated. MSPs were raised up to 109% above costs, strengthening farmers’ income and food security.
